Upcycle Exchange: Finder's Hive

I had so much fun at the Upcycle Exchange's Open House last month [not to mention we found so much cool stuff], that when I heard that the Finder's Hive was open to the public again we planned our day around it.

If you have not heard of them, basically they are at local art fairs, farmer's markets, etc. and they collect items on artists' wish lists. The artists pay a small fee to become part of the group and to collect the goods, and also offer a discount to people who donate. It is a great organization, and they are having open enrollment right now. [I just signed up!!]

Here is the entrance to the Finder's Hive:

And Chris window shopping!

The loot! So many cool papers and ephemera, paint, fabrics, and too much stuff to list!

My favorite find was this book from 1884. The binding was in terrible condition, but the images and paper are awesome to use for art journaling!
