I went to the SIUE Art Therapy Conference this morning. It is always so inspirational! This year, Janis Timm-Bottos was the speaker and she spoke about community arts centers, liberation psychology and using recycled materials. She taught us, among other things, to make backpacks out of Tshirts...
Here are the scarves from our scarf ceremonies hanging together.
A quilt that the students were auctioning for Haiti.
Working in an open studio-type format.
The participants in front of their bags.
My first bag.
With a little ladybug for good luck.
My second bag.
Ellie modeling the backpack.
They fit the shelties perfectly, although they are not meant for them ;)
