Art Journal Vol IV: Spread 41 — Art Surprises

Self-care is something that is deeply important to me, and I continue a practice I started in graduate school, which is to keep an art journal specifically for my self-care as a therapist. You can read more about that here and here.

  1. Kelley--I enjoyed reading the excerpt from your thesis on self-care--as well as your entry on the "self-care lunch." Both helped to underscore the deep necessity for taking care of ourselves as we care for our clients. I also appreciated the vulnerability you share with us in the lunch excerpt--thank you.

  2. thank you! it really has been a great processing tool for me! and I love that it allows me to be creative, and make art on a regular basis!
