These are the rings my parents used in their wedding in 1976, they had his engraved with Once Upon a Time and mine engraved with And They Lived Happily Ever After — and told us that it is up to us to write our story! To top that off, we had a ring warming ceremony at the beginning, where the rings were passed around to every guest so that they could say a blessing or a wish for us — after making it around the circle, they were warmed with love and ready for us to use in the ceremony!
Prior to the wedding day, I had a hatmaking tea party with a few of my close friends to prepare for the day. We asked all of our guests to wear a hat (both a homage to our hometown of Louisville with the Kentucky Derby hats and fitting for a mad hatter tea party!!) Here are a few of the fabulous hats from the day!
The Wonderland theme was carried into the table decor, and it was filled with whimsy. Each person had a teacup and saucer as a wedding favor. We collected them for months at thrift stores and antique malls, along with tea pots. The tea pots were then gifted to family members as a reminder of our special day. Each teacup was adorned with a "drink me" tag with the guests name on it!
Our guest book, incorporated both of our passions, mine is art and his is drumming. We decided it would be perfect to have everyone decorate a drumstick to commemorate our day. They turned our beautifully!

Absolutely beautiful. I love all the creative additions you two put into the wedding. LOVE your bouquet idea! Thanks for sharing your special day. May your marriage be deeply blessed.
